Multiplied Now, Subtracted Later

Daily Create where I’ve used a free online image repeater to duplicate an image of a calculator. I chose to do this particular piece because it matches the theme of my domain and invokes thoughts of fusing body and machine and how that might change our material worlds. While we have calculators now, we are producing them, and have produced great numbers of them (the multiplying), this post is to highlight the decline of such technologies as we move towards a future where technology is integrated in ourselves (the subtracting of physical calculators from the world). It’s likely that one day we will be able to do mathematics natively in our minds without the need for external devices. What’s next?
